Sep 21, 2009 |
This is the 10th year that the Kiwasis club of Bear Valley as supported the Healthy Start Project with FREE hot dogs. This year the Kiwanis club gave away 1500 hot dogs and about 1500 chilled drinks from the Snack Shack at Swim Beach on Big Bear Lake. Sixteen members, and Cal Roe as chairman, heated the wieners on a large barbeque, assembled them inside the Snack Shack, and passed them out through the serving window. |

Our 27th Aniversery |
Aug 18, 2009 |
To celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Big Bear Valley Kiwanis Club, we took a cruise of our beautiful lake. We saw homes where numerous celebrities live or once lived, some historic homes, learned about the gold mining from the mid 1800's and had a pleasurable day on the lake. We were aboard the Miss Liberty a 250 passenger boat that daily tours Big Bear Lake. We were joined by seven members from the Highland Kiwanis Club who came up for an interclub. |
